Trail Map

The Pleasant Valley Park Volunteers have completed a little under five miles of trail that is open for hiking or mountain biking. The first trail "Hank's Trail" starts just uphill from the parking lot. The hiking trails are mostly in the woods and follows terrain contours. There are also over two miles of old farm roads on the property, which pass beside or through meadows of various wildflowers and goldenrod.

The MTA (Murrysville Trail Alliance) has finished work on a new Trail Map for Pleasant Valley Park.

The new trail map is available in two versions - a PV Trail Map with Gray background or a PV Trail Map with Green background. Both are PDF files that you can easily print on 8 1/2" X 11" paper.

An image of the Green Map is shown below.

The Municipality of Murrysville created a basic trail map in September of 2010 using their GSI system.  The map shows the seven trails in the park at that time - but it does not show the park boundary. It is very ink intensive to print out - because it shows a satellite view of the area. They also spelled Pleasant wrong on the map.
